Nichelle and Brandon's Sunrise Engagement at the Phoenician
8 . 17. 2019

Y'all! I have officially embraced the sunrise photoshoot experience 🙌🏼 I am by no means a morning person, so I am as shocked as y'all are that I have now successfully taken two sunrise engagement sessions! I met Nichelle and Brandon when she won a free engagement session from me and I am so glad that I got to meet the two of them.
When we met up at Tempe Marketplace, I knew they were going to be a super sweet couple. They shared with me how they got engaged, at the top of the Eiffel Tour in Vegas on the 4th of July, while fireworks went off! I mean come on, how cute?! From there we talked a bit about their wedding day plans and visions and they were crazy synced.
I love when the couple, as a whole, share the same wedding day vision!! And after that, we got to talking about their engagement photos! I had recently photographed a couple at The Cactus Garden at the Phoenician during sunrise and fell in love with it. When I showed them a photo, they also fell in love with it. So it was decided! A sunrise engagement session was to happen ☀️

And man oh man, once again, the Arizona sun did not disappoint. By the end of the session, were we covered in sweat from head to toe? Yes, because let's be honest, it is still Arizona in the summer. No matter what time of day it is, you'll be sweating. But, was it worth it? 100% yes! Nichelle and Brandon smiled, snuggled up and even goofed off, showing off their quirky personalities throughout their session.
They were very patient as we all waited for the sun to peak over the mountains. A lesson learned, the sunrise time is not always accurate. In order to not miss the first peeks of sun, we ended up waiting about 10 minutes passed the supposed sunrise time. But oh well! We were well prepared for when the sun did finally make it's appearance and then they danced together as the sun rose over four peaks, and took a couple of strolls throughout the cactus garden.

A huge, heartfelt, congratulations to Nichelle and Brandon! Thank you for sharing your story with me!
