Tara and Justin. Oh man where to start?! I met the both of them last year when we met up to chat about their wedding photography and the two of them were so kind and thoughtful. Justin has a history and passion with photography and works with video so we had a lot to chat about! Their wedding sounded super sweet and intimate with those closest to them and I couldn't wait to experience their day with them.

Come wedding day, on a warmer than normal October afternoon, I drove to the house where their wedding was to take place. Tara was with her ladies getting the finishing touches to her make up and Justin was with his gentlemen ready to roll in their charcoal grey suits. After saying my hellos, I started snapping photos of Tara's amazing blush wedding dress and other wedding details.

With her wedding dress on we headed out for their first look. Thankfully Justin had done the location scouting for me and there was a perfect tree for them to share a first look under. 😍Tara walked up and tapped Justin on the shoulder and as he turned he got the biggest smile on his face and then after a few moments of seeing his beautiful soon to be wife all dressed up, the tears came. It was beautifully emotional!

After they shared their first look with one another, we grabbed their bridal party for some fun photos before heading back to the house to get tucked away before the ceremony.

As all of their friends and family gathered in the back yard, Justin walked up to the arch and patiently awaited the arrival of Tara. She walked with her father and betrayed the slightest emotion as she walked past me as she looked ahead to her soon to be husband. It was a subtle, but heartwarming moment to witness.

As they stood hand in hand, their friend officiating their wedding shared some memories from the first time Tara saw Justin and when Justin knew he wanted to marry Tara. They exchanged rings, said "I do", and sealed it all with a kiss!

With hands raised high together, they walked down the aisle as husband and wife, beaming with happiness.

Tara & Justin's Backyard Wedding

After their ceremony, we headed back out to where they shared their first look to take family photos and their newlywed photos! The sun was setting gently behind them and casting just the most glorious glow, perfect for romantic bridal photos.

As the sun set, we drove back to the house where they were greeted by all of their guests during their grand entrance and shared a smooch when all the guests started clinking their glasses! It's a tradition!

From there, they enjoyed speeches from their bridal party, and parents and then cut into their delicious wedding cake before heading out to the dance floor to dance the night away! Tara and Justin's wedding was so wonderful to be a part of! Here is to the newlyweds! 🥂💕
